SWF No. 15 or Gone Fishing

This photo was taken at a favourite fishing spot known locally as Locks Well. It is a great place to catch what we know as Australian Salmon and occasionally you can get Mulloway as well. When I was last here (quite a few years ago), it was along a rough dirt track and you had to climb down the cliffs and sand dunes to the beach. Now, there is bitumen all the way, and the council have installed almost 300 steps down the 120m cliff face. It certainly makes it easier to carry an esky full of fish! For more information on the area, click here.
We didn’t actually fish here this day. We just came for a look on our hunt for a half decent camping spot. You can see the footprints of some other fisher people though. Apparently, they had a very good day. But then again, the worst days fishing is better that the best days working…

Too Tired

Todays pic is of a sand sculpture I did at Christmas time when we were holidaying at Venus Bay. It is a life size image of C4 (I had to get the basics down fast cos he only lay still for under a minute!). It is titled “Too Tired”. As is usual in these situations, I had forgotten my camera. I had to go back to the house for it, get back to the beach (praying that some dick with a 4WD and boat trailer hadn’t decided to run over it), take a snap to judge the light and angle etc, then discovered that the batteries had died. I knew that there wasn’t any more at the house, so I have had to make do with this one.
