Those of you who know me also know that I have way too much stuff. My house is overflowing with stuff. (and if anyone dares to mention FlyLady I will savagely beat you with an “Office in a Bag” and bless you with my feather duster.)

I have guests coming to stay for Christmas and that means I have to make room for them. I have given myself a quick kick up the arse and started cleaning out the cupboards. The theory is that if I chuck out all the unnecessary stuff from the linen press / wardrobes / cupboards, there will be more room for the necessary stuff that is lying around the house tripping me over. (I did say that it was a theory).

So far I have cleaned out my wardrobe and dresser and blessed the Op-Shop with a garbage bag of clothes that I don’t wear. Today I clearned out the linen press and will bless the RSPCA with old towels and sheets. Tomorrow it will be the toy cupboard in the loungeroom.

The fishing was crappy.

The weather was hot.

One kid had lost his shoe overboard.

The other kid lost her rig and about 20 metres of line under the jetty.

Then there was sunset. The light at the end of the tunnel.

A few weeks ago, on a night when the mercury was rapidly heading to the ice forming numbers, we were blessed with a partial lunar eclipse. We are a bit too south to see the full effect, but it was still pretty cool. By the time the full moon had reduced itself to a sliver, there wasn’t enough light for my little point and shoot camera, so I’m a little disappointed that I didn’t get that. The eclipse lasted for about an hour, and I have to admit to being thankful when it was over – I was starting to lose feeling in my fingers.  But I am thankful for these shots. None of them have been re-touched at all, They are exactly how they came off my camera. (The first has been cropped).

Even though I was in the car, I could feel the air changing. Thicker, heavier. Tasting of tin. Ahead there was a ridge of cloud, thicker than the rest. A feeling that a storm was coming, but yet the sun was bright.

The further I drove, I could see a thunderhead rising behind the cloud ridge. The sun getting lower in the sky was casting eerie shadows across the road.

The temperature was dropping quickly. There was an uneasiness in the air. The sun was setting rapidly behind me, reflecting off the rising cloud in a blinding glare

I had travelled just over 20km. The feeling of uneasiness, carried on the electricity in the air, intensified.

It was now very dark. The occasional lightning flask was now visible – the crackles coming through on the radio.

Then it started. Huge drops falling from the sky. The sky turned black, the water rushed across the road. I pulled over, a passing truck covering my car with red mud.

It didn’t last long, maybe 10 minutes. But in that 10 minutes, 70mm (1.5”) of rain fell. By the time I got home (another 20km up the road), the road was completely dry. Not a drop of rain had fallen all day.

I’m thankful for not having boobs thrown in my face all the time by offensive and indecent breastfeeding mothers like the ones below:

Hmm…Just a minute. I’m sure I can find better ones than these…

Eh, still not offensive enough. I’ll check one more time.

That is better. LOOK AT THAT! I see about a half inch of boob. DISGUSTING.

UGH. Look at that indecency! She must be from some third world country to be exposed like that!

Now that’s just…There are no words to describe how inappropriate that is. Something needs to be done!

Why stop at breastfeeding women? There are boobs everywhere. Beware! If you thought the above photos were offensive, you WILL DEFINITELY be offended by the photos below.

You won’t be offended by this one, either. It won an award!

I guess this one is fine too. Everyone knows you can’t sell jeans without someone being topless.

You know what? Maybe I’m crazy, but I think that someone mixed up some photos here. The first batch are offensive, but the second batch are just fine and dandy???
